Notice of Special Municipal Board Meeting – February 7, 2022

Pursuant to Section 2-33(l) of the City of Miami, Florida Code, as amended, a A special meeting of the Miami City Commission will be held on Monday, February 7, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. at the City Commission Rooms located at Miami City Hall, 3500 Pan American Dr, Miami, FL 33133. The purpose of the special meeting will be to review and take all actions related to the redrawing of Municipal Board districts, including but not limited to the drafting of all related maps and boundaries. No business shall be transacted, or a vote taken at a special meeting of the city board on any business other than the subject or subjects for which the special meeting is called.
The special city commission meeting on February 7, 2022 will be livestreamed for members of the public to view on the city’s website (www.miamigov.com/tv), Facebook, Twitter, YouTube and Channel 77 ( Comcast only for residents living in the city of Miami).
For your information, public comments on agenda items to be heard at this special meeting may be submitted via an online comment form and will be distributed to elected officials and municipal administration and incorporated into the public record. The deadline for submitting public comments via the online comment form will occur when the Chair closes public comments for the special meeting.
Public comment on the agenda item(s) to be heard at this special meeting may also be provided live at City Hall, 3500 Pan American Drive, Miami, Florida, subject to all rules and procedures that the city can implement or modify. Please note that COVID-19 safety measures have been implemented for the health, safety and well-being of the public wishing to attend and participate and may be modified as necessary. These measures include the reinstallation of the plexiglass dividers on the stage, a limited number of seats inside the rooms of the municipal commission, the provision of a tent and chairs for the television broadcast of the special meeting at the outside City Hall, the provision of a laptop in the City Hall lobby that can be used for public comment. , and requiring the wearing of masks inside City Hall. Public commentary will begin around 11:00 a.m.

If any person wishes to appeal a decision of the City Board regarding any matter to be considered at this special meeting, that person should ensure that a verbatim record of the proceedings is made, including all testimony and evidence upon which any appeal may be based. (FS 286.0105).
