Maryland Medical Cannabis Commission Approves MariMed Kitchen Expansion

Wholly owned subsidiary of Kind Therapeutics USA of MariMed, Inc. MRMD MRMD has received approval from the Maryland Medical Cannabis Commission to exploit its state of the art expanded production kitchen at its cultivation and production facility in Hagerstown, Maryland.

The expanded kitchen significantly increases Kind’s production capabilities and its ability to meet the strong demand for its branded products statewide. The company’s products are available at nearly all of Maryland’s approximately 100 dispensaries. MariMed expects demand for its branded products to increase significantly if Maryland voters approve adult-use cannabis sales in November, as expected.

The kitchen expansion allows Kind to produce MariMed’s infused products, including Betty’s Swirls full spectrum fruit chews, bubby is cooked soft and chewy pastries, Vibrations: High + Energy powdered drink mix, and Fusion K chewable tablets.

MariMed has designed and will operate the expanded kitchen to accommodate GMP certification in the future. Being GMP certified assures consumers and employees that the kitchen operates to the highest standards in food production, health and safety.

Kind plans to open its first Maryland dispensary, located in Annapolis, later this year.

Meet the CEO of MariMed and president Robert N. Fireman and a large number of other leaders, entrepreneurs, CEOs, investors, etc. cannabis at the Benzinga Cannabis Capital September Conference, September 13-14 in Chicago. Get your tickets HERE and reserve your place at the Palmer House Hotel HERE.
